About me
I am a photographer. I was a social worker and a teacher in a previous life. I still sometimes miss it. I am a wife, a stepmother to a ten year old named Emma (we usually introduce ourselves as the M&MS), a sister, a daughter, a friend. I am a dog-lover and a cat-liker. I am a nerd. I read read read. I used to carry two books in my purse all the time in case (as my husband says) ‘a read breaks out’. Then he bought me a Kindle. So now I carry 100 books in my purse. I am seriously domestically challenged. I can’t cook, I’m not great at cleaning (I’ve been referred to as the *worst dishwasher packer ever*) but I give my husband a lot of moral support as he is forced to do some of these things out of necessity. Cooking, though, he loves. Lucky for him, I like to eat. Perfect match. I deal with life with a sense of humor. Its a necessity as far as I’m concerned. I like to bring that into my photography. And I genuinely like people. Sometimes I’m a little quiet when you first meet me, but then it’s never quiet again. (My family will readily agree with me on that point.) I like to photograph families and children and newborns and brides because to me it makes me happy. I always wanted to spent my life working with children and families and lucky for me, I got what I wanted. Thank you to everyone who keeps making this happen for me. I am grateful.
